Leeds Powerchair Football Club formed in late 2012, in the wake of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Today more than 40 players train and compete with us across five teams and every level of the game — from first-timers playing recreationally right through to our National League side.

We train every week at Bishop Young Academy in Leeds, and we’re an England Football Accredited club. Whether you want to play, cheer from the sidelines, or back the club as a sponsor, there’s a place for you here.

The game itself is played indoors on a court the size of a basketball court. Specially adapted powerchairs fitted with front guards let players pass, dribble and strike a large ball with real skill and speed. It’s tactical, competitive, and one of the very few sports where players of all ages and genders line up on the same team.

Our five teams are Leeds Chariots, Leeds Dynamos, Leeds Centurions, Leeds Spartans & Amazons, and Leeds Hurricanes.
